TNR INFORMATION- ALL cats/colony's MUST HAVE A CONFIRMED CAREGIVER.
WE DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN RTF (return to field) nor approve of abandoning an animal on the street with no known caregiver to feed, water, supply shelter and monitor for medical needs.
#1 We recommend trappers with a large site or get together with other caregivers/trappers and combine smaller sites. OAC can close to the public & schedule a feral day just for these trappers/site-- no online appointments' but a tentative verification of at least 15 cats & no more than 20 to fill the day. We would need at least 1 week notice to close, and it would depend on if we have appointments already pre- scheduled to availability, and if OAO donations funds are available to cover costs if needed.
#2 ALL TNR CATS REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT. app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=19044022&template=class **This app allows allows for a 1 hour window to edit, schedule and cancel TNR appointments' with real-time openings visible on the calendar. It is your responsibility to make sure information is input and correct for each appointments & cat you schedule and/or bring in.
#3 Please follow our TNR surgery intake policies and protocols as listed below. THIS PROGRAM & PRICING IS STRICTLY FOR FERAL CATS WHO WILL BE RETURNED OUTSIDE TO THEIR CAREGIVERS, NOT FOR CATS OR KITTENS GOING INTO ADOPTIONS OR TAME CATS GOING INTO HOMES.
*Same day multiple appointments should only be made if you are sure of filling them, feeding schedules and trap training should have been done, or cats are in their traps when the appointments are made (preferred) (ESPECIALLY when reserving more than one spot a day.) Multiple last minute cancellations or no shows will result in required nonrefundable deposits or denial of future appointment requests.
**The 1 hour appointment, edit or cancellation window we offer was intended for appointments made for those one or two cats sites. Those where the cats show sporadically or the area is unsafe or its a one or two cat clean up site and the cats are very aware of what your doing, making trapping very hard.
*Cancellations made less than 20 hours to drop of time make it almost impossible for another trapper to ready a site for successful trapping, and fill those surgery spots last minute. AGAIN especially if more than two spots have been reserved for one day then canceled with short notice.
*Make sure your upcoming sites have been verified in person, and specifics worked out with caregivers or other tappers to help ensure successful trapping. Also you must monitor the weather, and if inclement, is trapping possible at a site.
OAC fully understands the complications that come with trapping cats and we do our best to accommodate. In the end it comes down to the community trappers & caregivers to be aware and considerate of others, like them are trying to help the cats in our community.
